Ingredients
  

Bread
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.67 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 Granny Smith apples peeled and diced
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture alternating with milk. Fold in diced apples gently.
  5. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for swirl in a small bowl.
  6. Pour half the batter into pan, add half the cinnamon mixture, remaining batter, then remaining cinnamon mixture.
  7. Swirl with a knife to create marbled effect. Bake 50-60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove to wire rack. Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm bread.

Notes

Store covered at room temperature up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Best served slightly warm with coffee or tea.
