Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
- Combine rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk milk, eggs, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
- Mix wet and dry ingredients together and stir in apples and optional add-ins.
- Pour mixture into baking dish and bake 35–40 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with maple syrup or yogurt.
Notes
Rolled oats give the best texture. Add extra milk for softer oatmeal.
