Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 cups milk any kind
  • 2 eggs or flax eggs
  • 0.33 cup maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup butter or coconut oil melted
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Add-Ins
  • 2 apples diced
  • 0.5 cup raisins or walnuts optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
  2. Combine rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Whisk milk, eggs, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  4. Mix wet and dry ingredients together and stir in apples and optional add-ins.
  5. Pour mixture into baking dish and bake 35–40 minutes.
  6. Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with maple syrup or yogurt.

Notes

Rolled oats give the best texture. Add extra milk for softer oatmeal.
