  • 5 lb pork shoulder
  • 1.5 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 4 cups green cabbage chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic optional

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Forks for shredding

Method
 

  1. Trim excess fat and pierce pork shoulder.
  2. Rub with salt and drizzle liquid smoke.
  3. Place in slow cooker and cook on low for 8–10 hours.
  4. Shred pork and return to juices.
  5. Add cabbage and cook 20–30 minutes.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

For best flavor, cook low and slow. Great for meal prep.
