Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Pecan Filling
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, and salt; cut in butter until crumbly.
  3. Press into pan and bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and salt.
  5. Stir in chopped pecans and pour over crust.
  6. Bake another 30 minutes until set.
  7. Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

For the best flavor, toast pecans lightly before adding them to the filling.
