Ingredients
  

Pastry Base
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 0.33 cup blue cheese crumbled
  • 0.25 cup walnuts chopped and toasted
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp honey optional
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk or cream for egg wash
  • 1 pinch salt optional
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly cracked

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry into a 10x12-inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  3. Sprinkle blue cheese, walnuts, and thyme evenly over the pastry. Drizzle with honey if desired.
  4. Fold pastry in half lengthwise, slice into 1-inch strips, and twist each into a spiral.
  5. Coil the strips into a twirl shape and transfer to the baking sheet.
  6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with black pepper or thyme.
  7. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
