- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden and nutty.
- Whisk brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix until glossy.
- Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra gooey cookies use chocolate chunks and do not overbake.
