Ingredients
  

Bread Base
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk
Apple Filling
  • 2 cups apples peeled and diced
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Caramel Glaze
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl.
  3. Whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk in a separate bowl.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Layer half the batter into loaf pan, sprinkle half apple mixture, add remaining batter and apples.
  7. Bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10–15 minutes on wire rack.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce over cooled bread. Slice and serve.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm. Store in airtight container up to 3 days.
