Ingredients
  

Seafood Filling
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup crab meat lump or claw
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup carrots diced
  • 0.5 cup celery diced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 0.25 cup flour
  • 2 cups seafood or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped
Cheddar Bay Biscuits
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 0.75 cup milk
Lemon Herb Butter
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and celery in butter until softened.
  3. Add flour and cook 1 minute, then whisk in broth and cream until thickened.
  4. Stir in seafood, peas, Old Bay, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour filling into a baking dish.
  6. Mix biscuit dough ingredients until just combined.
  7. Spoon biscuit dough over the filling.
  8. Bake 25–30 minutes until biscuits are golden and filling is bubbly.
  9. Brush hot biscuits with melted lemon herb butter before serving.

Notes

Use a mix of shrimp, crab, and scallops for the best texture.
