Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz pasta
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta and broccoli in salted water; drain.
  2. Melt butter and sauté garlic.
  3. Whisk in flour to form roux.
  4. Add milk and cream; cook until thick.
  5. Stir in cheeses until melted.
  6. Toss pasta and broccoli with sauce and serve.

Notes

Add pasta water if sauce becomes too thick.
