Cheesy Christmas Tree Bread

A festive pull-apart bread filled with melted mozzarella and brushed with garlic butter, shaped like a Christmas tree for the perfect holiday appetizer.

Ingredients
  

Bread Dough
  • 1 lb pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 16-20 pieces mozzarella cheese cubes ¾ inch each
Garlic Butter
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 tsp salt
For Serving
  • marinara sauce for dipping
  • extra Parmesan and herbs for garnish

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Pastry brush
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle and cut into 16–20 equal squares.
  3. Place a cube of mozzarella in each square, seal edges to form a ball.
  4. Arrange dough balls on baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree.
  5. Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and Italian seasoning. Brush half over dough.
  6. Bake 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Brush with remaining butter mixture and sprinkle Parmesan on top.
  8. Serve warm with marinara sauce or garlic butter.

Notes

Add cherry tomatoes and rosemary sprigs for festive decoration.
