Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup warm milk
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
Chocolate Filling
  • 150 g dark chocolate chopped
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, salt, eggs, and yeast mixture.
  3. Add butter gradually and knead until smooth.
  4. Let dough rise until doubled.
  5. Prepare chocolate filling.
  6. Roll dough, spread filling, and roll into log.
  7. Slice, twist, and place in loaf pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 35–40 minutes and brush with syrup.

Notes

Chill rolled log before slicing for clean swirls.
