Ingredients
  

Blondie Batter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup walnuts or pecans optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts.
  7. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are golden and center is set.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

Do not overbake for the best chewy texture. Blondies should look slightly soft in the center when removed from the oven.
