  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 0.25 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Add flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt to a microwave-safe mug.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly with a fork.
  3. Add milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until the cake rises and is set on top.
  7. Let the cake cool for 1 minute before eating.

Notes

Do not overcook the mug cake or it may become dry. Microwave times vary by appliance.
