Ingredients
  

Bar Base
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Swirl
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter melted
Icing
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Equipment

  • 9x13 baking pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugars; add eggs, vanilla, and milk.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients and spread batter into pan.
  5. Mix cinnamon swirl ingredients and swirl into batter.
  6. Bake 30–35 minutes until set.
  7. Beat icing ingredients until smooth and spread on bars.

Notes

Ice while warm for gooey glaze or when cooled for thicker frosting.
