- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a rectangular shape approximately 12x8 inches.
- Transfer rolled dough onto prepared baking sheet, stretching gently if needed to fit.
- In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt, mixing until evenly distributed.
- Brush melted butter generously over entire surface of dough, including edges.
- If using vanilla extract, mix it with remaining melted butter and brush over dough.
- Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over buttered dough, patting gently to help it adhere.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown and sugar coating is slightly caramelized.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes before cutting into strips or squares.
- Serve warm for best texture and flavor.
