Ingredients

Pizza Base
  • 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
  • 0.5 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Rolling pin
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a rectangular shape approximately 12x8 inches.
  3. Transfer rolled dough onto prepared baking sheet, stretching gently if needed to fit.
  4. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt, mixing until evenly distributed.
  5. Brush melted butter generously over entire surface of dough, including edges.
  6. If using vanilla extract, mix it with remaining melted butter and brush over dough.
  7. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over buttered dough, patting gently to help it adhere.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown and sugar coating is slightly caramelized.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes before cutting into strips or squares.
  10. Serve warm for best texture and flavor.

Notes

For extra indulgence, drizzle with cream cheese frosting or serve with vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in oven at 350°F for 5 minutes to restore crispness.
