  • 6 apples peeled and sliced
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Crumble Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup rolled oats
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare baking dish.
  2. Mix apple filling ingredients and transfer to dish.
  3. Combine crumble topping ingredients until coarse crumbs form.
  4. Sprinkle topping over apples evenly.
  5. Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling.

Notes

Best served warm with ice cream. Use a mix of apples for deeper flavor.
