Ingredients
  

Steak & Marinade
  • 1.5 lb sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp adobo sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp lime juice fresh
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped

Equipment

  • Cast iron skillet or grill pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Sharp knife

Method
 

  1. Whisk together all marinade ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Coat steak evenly with marinade and refrigerate.
  3. Heat skillet or grill pan over high heat.
  4. Cook steak until charred and just cooked through.
  5. Rest steak briefly, then slice against the grain.
  6. Toss with cilantro and serve.

Notes

For best flavor, cook over very high heat and slice thinly.
