Ingredients
  

Pork Chops
  • 4 pork chops boneless
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • oil for frying
Creamy Bacon Gravy
  • 6 bacon slices chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Whisk eggs and milk together.
  3. Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  4. Dredge chops in flour, dip in egg mixture, then dredge again.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet and fry pork chops until golden and cooked through.
  6. Cook chopped bacon in skillet until crispy; remove and reserve.
  7. Add butter to bacon drippings and melt.
  8. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute to form a roux.
  9. Slowly add milk and broth, whisking until smooth.
  10. Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
  11. Stir in cooked bacon.
  12. Pour gravy over pork chops and serve warm.

Notes

If gravy becomes too thick, add a splash of broth or milk.
