Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz medium pasta shells
Sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese cheddar or Colby-Jack
  • 0.5 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper to taste

  • Large pot
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta shells until al dente and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings.
  5. Reduce heat and add cream.
  6. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
  7. Stir in cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Adjust seasoning and serve hot.

Notes

Keep heat low after adding cream to prevent curdling. Add pasta water if needed.
