Method
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Brown sausage until cooked through, then remove and set aside.
- Sauté garlic in remaining drippings for 30 seconds.
- Add broccoli and cook for 2 minutes. Pour in chicken broth, cover, and steam for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and seasonings. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add tortellini and cook for 4–5 minutes until tender.
- Return sausage to pan and toss everything together.
- Adjust seasoning, garnish with Parmesan and parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for cream or use turkey sausage. Add lemon zest for brightness.
