  • 2 shots espresso or ¾ cup strong coffee
  • 1 cup whole milk
Pistachio Mixture
  • 2 tbsp pistachio paste or syrup
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp shelled pistachios finely ground
  • 1 pinch salt
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp crushed pistachios for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare espresso or strong coffee using your preferred brewing method and set aside in serving mug.
  2. In a small saucepan, gently warm pistachio paste with honey and vanilla over low heat, whisking until smooth.
  3. Add ground pistachios and salt to the mixture, whisking until fully incorporated and fragrant.
  4. Steam or heat milk to 150-160°F, creating creamy foam with small, velvety bubbles.
  5. Add pistachio mixture to prepared coffee, stirring gently to combine flavors evenly.
  6. Pour steamed milk into coffee mixture, holding back foam initially with a spoon.
  7. Spoon remaining foam on top of latte, creating an attractive creamy layer.
  8. Garnish with crushed pistachios and serve immediately while hot for best flavor.

Notes

For best results, use fresh pistachios and quality espresso. Store pistachio mixture in refrigerator for up to one week. Can substitute with plant-based milk for dietary preferences.
