Method
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add diced onion, garlic, and bell pepper; cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Transfer beef mixture to the crockpot.
- Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, broth, and all spices. Stir to combine.
- Cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot with desired toppings.
Notes
For thicker chili, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
