Method
- Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the butternut squash cubes on top and around the chicken.
- In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, dijon mustard, garlic, broth, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and squash, coating everything evenly.
- Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Optional: Mash a bit of squash into the sauce to thicken.
- Serve warm with extra sauce spooned over the top.
Notes
For extra depth, add fresh rosemary or thyme during the last hour of cooking.
