Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
Cream Cheese Glaze
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk or cream

Equipment

  • Hand mixer or whisk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add egg, vanilla, mashed bananas, and sour cream; mix until combined.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients just until combined.
  6. Scoop large cookie portions onto baking sheets and flatten slightly.
  7. Bake 11–14 minutes until edges are set. Cool completely.
  8. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make glaze.
  9. Glaze cooled cookies and let set before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use very ripe bananas and do not overbake.
