Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg together.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla, then mix in mashed bananas and sour cream.
- Gradually add dry ingredients until just combined.
- Scoop large portions onto baking sheets and lightly flatten.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until set but soft in the center. Cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla; add milk to desired consistency.
- Glaze cooled cookies and allow to set before serving.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for best flavor and do not overbake.
