Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts 6-8 oz each
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
For the Cream Cheese Sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives chopped

  • Large oven-safe skillet

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry and pound to even 3/4 inch thickness.
  3. Combine all dry seasonings in a small bowl to create seasoning blend.
  4. Rub seasoning mixture evenly on both sides of chicken breasts.
  5. Heat olive oil in large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Sear chicken breasts 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown, transfer to baking dish.
  7. In same skillet, whisk cream cheese over medium heat until melted and smooth.
  8. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth.
  9. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to sauce, whisk until incorporated.
  10. Pour cream sauce evenly over chicken in baking dish.
  11. Bake uncovered 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F internal temperature.
  12. Rest 5 minutes, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve with extra sauce.

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is fully softened before cooking. Chicken can be marinated in seasonings for up to 4 hours for deeper flavor. Leftovers keep refrigerated for 3 days.
