Ingredients
  

Biscuits
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 0.75 cup milk or buttermilk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in milk until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface, fold several times, and pat to 1-inch thickness.
  6. Cut biscuits with a cutter and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

For extra-tall biscuits, chill the cut dough for 10 minutes before baking.
