Ingredients
  

Strawberry Filling
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Cobbler Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a baking dish.
  2. Toss strawberries with sugar and lemon juice, then spread in baking dish.
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  4. Cut butter into dry ingredients until crumbly.
  5. Stir in milk and vanilla just until combined.
  6. Drop batter over strawberries and bake 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for best flavor.
