Ingredients

Main Filling
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough or biscuit dough
Garlic Parmesan Topping
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning optional

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Baking sheet or cast iron skillet
  • Mixing bowls
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a cast iron skillet.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef until fully cooked, breaking into small crumbles, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Season cooked beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, stirring well to combine.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then mix in shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until well combined.
  5. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into twelve equal squares, approximately 4 inches each.
  6. Place a generous spoonful of beef and cheese mixture in the center of each dough square, being careful not to overfill.
  7. Gather corners of each dough square up and over the filling, pinching edges firmly together to seal, then place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
  8. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with minced garlic, then brush generously over the top and sides of each bomb.
  9. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese evenly over all bombs, followed by chopped parsley and Italian seasoning if using.
  10. Bake for 18-22 minutes until bombs are golden brown on top and dough is fully cooked through.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes before serving.
  12. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces such as ketchup, mustard, ranch dressing, or marinara sauce.

Notes

For best results, ensure ground beef is well-drained before adding cheese. Bombs can be frozen before or after baking for easy meal prep. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
