Ingredients
  

Base
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
Cream Mixture
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 0.75 cup parmesan cheese grated
Seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning optional
Finish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Whisk in flour to create a smooth roux, cooking for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Slowly whisk in cream and milk until smooth. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add parmesan cheese and whisk until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  7. Remove from heat, stir in parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

If sauce thickens too much, whisk in 1–2 tablespoons of warm milk before serving.
