Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup soft caramels melted

Method
 

  1. Prepare cookie dough and press half into pan.
  2. Layer caramel evenly over dough.
  3. Top with remaining dough and bake until golden.
  4. Sprinkle with sea salt and cool before slicing.

Notes

For extra gooey bars, slightly underbake and allow to set while cooling.
