Ingredients
  

Beef Souvlaki
  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar optional

Method
 

  1. Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, herbs, and seasonings in a bowl.
  2. Add cubed beef and marinate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Thread beef onto skewers and grill over medium-high heat 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  4. Serve hot with pita bread, tzatziki, and lemon wedges.

Notes

For extra tenderness, use sirloin or tenderloin. Rest skewers for 5 minutes before serving.
