Method
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef and diced onion until beef is cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir to coat. Cook 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until smooth.
- Add seasonings and simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in butter for extra richness, if desired.
- Serve the beef and gravy over warm mashed potatoes, garnished with parsley.
Notes
For a thicker gravy, add an extra tablespoon of flour. For a lighter texture, use half ground beef and half ground turkey.
