Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan until smooth.
- Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt; stir gently until just combined.
- Spread brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Tint cream cheese mixture orange with gel food coloring.
- Dollop tinted cream cheese over brownie batter and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 28–35 minutes until the center is just set.
- Cool completely before cutting for clean edges.
