- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice bread diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces, not cutting completely through bottom crust.
- In mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Add olive oil and Parmesan cheese, mixing until smooth and spreadable consistency.
- Generously spread herb butter mixture between each slice and over top surface of bread.
- Wrap entire loaf in aluminum foil, creating tent for steam circulation.
- Bake wrapped for 15 minutes, then remove foil and bake 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for 2-3 minutes before serving to allow butter to set while maintaining crispy texture.
Notes
For best results, use day-old bread for better texture. Store leftovers wrapped in foil and reheat at 350°F for 5 minutes to restore crispiness.
