Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 slices Texas toast bread
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning optional
  • 1 tbsp olive oil optional

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or butter knife
  • Oven

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix butter, garlic, salt, and parsley in a small bowl until smooth.
  3. Spread garlic butter over each slice of Texas toast.
  4. Top evenly with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Broil 1–2 minutes for extra bubbly cheese if desired.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Broil briefly for that golden, bubbly top. For extra crunch, brush olive oil on the underside of each slice before baking.
