Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 0.33 cup sugar
  • 0.33 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp allspice
  • 1 cup raisins

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk.
  2. Mix dry ingredients and combine with wet ingredients.
  3. Knead dough until smooth.
  4. Let dough rise until doubled.
  5. Shape into buns and let rise again.
  6. Pipe crosses and bake until golden.

Notes

Best served warm with butter.
