Homemade Orange Cinnamon Iced Tea

A refreshing yet cozy iced tea made with fresh oranges, black tea, and warm cinnamon. Naturally flavored, lightly sweetened, and perfect for any season.

Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups water for boiling
  • 3 black tea bags or 3 tsp loose-leaf
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
Citrus & Sweetener
  • 1 orange zest + slices
  • 3-4 tbsp honey or sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup cold water added after steeping
  • ice for serving

Method
 

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Remove from heat and add black tea bags and cinnamon sticks. Steep 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add orange zest and a few orange slices. Steep 5 more minutes.
  4. Stir in honey or sugar while warm.
  5. Strain tea into a pitcher and remove solids.
  6. Add 1 cup cold water and refrigerate until fully chilled.
  7. Serve over ice with fresh orange slices and cinnamon sticks.

Notes

For stronger spice, add a star anise pod while steeping.
