Ingredients

Peach Base
  • 4 ripe peaches large, peeled and pitted
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
Lemonade Mixture
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 6-8 lemons
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice cubes
Garnish and Serving
  • 2 fresh peaches sliced
  • fresh mint sprigs
  • additional ice cubes
  • lemon slices optional

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Large pitcher
  • Fine-mesh sieve
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. Wash and peel the peaches, then remove pits and cut into chunks. Place peach pieces in a blender with 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons water.
  2. Blend the peach mixture until completely smooth and creamy, creating a vibrant peach puree. Strain through fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a completely smooth texture.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine fresh lemon juice with remaining 3/4 cup sugar, stirring vigorously until sugar completely dissolves.
  4. Add the peach puree to the lemon mixture, stirring well to combine all flavors evenly.
  5. Pour in cold water and mix thoroughly, then add ice cubes to chill the mixture immediately.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired, or thin with additional water for milder flavor.
  7. Chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and develop fully.
  8. Serve over ice in tall glasses, garnishing each serving with fresh peach slices and mint sprigs for beautiful presentation.

Notes

Use ripe, fragrant peaches for best flavor. Can be made 1 day ahead and stored in refrigerator. Add vodka or gin for adult version. Freeze peach puree in ice cube trays for quick future batches.
