Method
- Cook lasagna noodles until al dente; drain and set aside.
- Sauté onion in olive oil until softened; add garlic and cook briefly.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned; season and stir in marinara sauce.
- Mix cream cheese, ricotta, egg, and half the Parmesan until smooth.
- Layer sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
- Repeat layers and finish with sauce and mozzarella.
- Bake covered at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes; uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
- Rest 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Letting the lasagna rest ensures clean slices and better texture.
