- Add pudding mix, milk, and vanilla; beat until thick.
- Fold in whipped topping.
- Spread filling into crust.
- Cook coconut, pecans, sugar, butter, and cream until thickened.
- Cool topping slightly and spread over pie.
- Chill at least 4 hours before serving.
