  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.67 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup M&M candies
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips

  • 9x13-inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Electric mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter and brown sugar until well blended.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine oats, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the oat mixture to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in M&M candies and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  7. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly to all corners.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set.
  9. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
  10. Cut into desired sizes and serve, or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For best results, use natural peanut butter and old-fashioned oats. Bars can be stored at room temperature for up to one week or frozen for up to three months.
