One Pan Honey Butter Garlic Chicken & Rice

Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, pounded
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Honey Butter Garlic Sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
Rice
  • 1.5 cups long-grain white rice
  • 2.5 cups chicken broth
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp butter for rice finish
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet or sauté pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Lid for skillet

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet and sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add butter to skillet. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar; simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Add rice to the pan, stirring to coat. Pour in chicken broth and season with salt and garlic powder.
  5. Nestle chicken on top. Cover and simmer 20–25 minutes until rice is cooked and liquid absorbed.
  6. Rest 5 minutes, fluff rice, and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Use long-grain rice for the best texture. Add vegetables like broccoli or peas in the last 10 minutes for extra flavor.
