Ingredients
  

Pasta Base
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni uncooked
  • 2.5 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese freshly shredded
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp paprika optional

Method
 

  1. Combine macaroni, milk, water, butter, and seasonings in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Cook 8–10 minutes until pasta is tender and liquid thickens.
  4. Reduce heat to low and gradually stir in shredded cheeses.
  5. Mix until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Let rest 2–3 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add a splash of warm milk before serving if needed.
