  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
For the Pasta
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes or more to taste
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, drain, and set aside.

  3. Sear steak in olive oil until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Melt butter in the same skillet. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 30 seconds.

Notes

Add heavy cream for a richer texture, or more chili flakes for extra heat.
