Ingredients
  

  • 12 hard taco shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 cup onion diced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 0.5 cup salsa
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet until browned.
  3. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning and salsa.
  4. Arrange taco shells upright in a baking dish.
  5. Fill shells with beef mixture.
  6. Top generously with shredded cheese.
  7. Bake until cheese is melted and shells are crisp.
  8. Remove, rest briefly, and serve.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for best melting.
