  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 cup barbecue sauce optional

Equipment

  • Baking dish
  • Aluminum foil
  • Small bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Pat pork ribs dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub ribs with olive oil on all sides.
  4. Mix spices and brown sugar in a bowl.
  5. Coat ribs evenly with seasoning mixture.
  6. Arrange ribs in a baking dish and cover tightly with foil.
  7. Roast covered for 90 minutes until tender.
  8. Uncover, increase oven to 425°F (220°C), and roast 20–30 minutes.
  9. Brush with barbecue sauce if using and return to oven.
  10. Rest ribs 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Slow roasting ensures tender ribs; uncovering at the end creates caramelization.
