Cookie Dough
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp peppermint extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Topping
  • 0.5 cup crushed peppermint candies

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter; cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in sugars, eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract.
  4. Fold in dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Scoop dough, top with peppermint, and bake 10–12 minutes.

Notes

Centers should remain soft for fudgy texture.
