Pineapple Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 20 oz crushed pineapple with juice
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup water

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Zester

Method
 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in orange zest near the end of cooking.
  5. Cool and serve or refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Sauce thickens as it cools.
