Ingredients

Base Drink
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 6-8 lemons
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 0.25 cup cranberry juice or grenadine syrup
  • 1 cup ice cubes
Garnish
  • 6 fresh pineapple wedges
  • 6 lemon slices
  • 12 fresh mint leaves optional

Equipment

  • Large pitcher
  • Wooden spoon or whisk
  • Measuring cups
  • Citrus juicer

Method

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar, stirring vigorously until the sugar completely dissolves to create a lemon syrup base.
  2. Add the pineapple juice to the pitcher and stir well to combine with the lemon mixture, ensuring all flavors are evenly distributed.
  3. Pour in the cold water gradually while stirring to maintain the proper consistency and prevent separation of ingredients.
  4. Add the cranberry juice or grenadine syrup slowly while stirring to achieve the desired pink color, adjusting the amount based on your color preference.
  5. Add ice cubes to the pitcher and stir gently to chill the lemonade without diluting the flavors too quickly.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice as needed to achieve your perfect flavor balance.
  7. Garnish individual glasses with fresh pineapple wedges, lemon slices, and mint leaves for an attractive presentation.
  8. Serve immediately over additional ice, or refrigerate for up to 3 days, stirring before each serving.

Notes

For a sparkling version, substitute half the water with club soda. Can be made sugar-free using stevia or monk fruit sweetener. Add rum or vodka for an adult cocktail version.
